CASA DO INFANTE
One of the oldest Romanesque palaces in Oporto where the infante Dom Henrique is said to have been born. Its museum bears witness to the history of the city.
Legend has it that the infanta Dom Henrique, also known as Henry the Navigator, was born in this house. But the place has another historical interest: it's one of Porto's oldest Romanesque palaces, built in 1325 and used by the Portuguese crown from the 14th century onwards. The museum's exhibits (archaeological remains and sublime mosaics) tell the story. An interesting visit that will appeal to all members of the family, parents and children alike, the curious and history buffs alike.
