PALÁCIO DA BOLSA
This Exchange Palace, built in the mid-19th century, bears witness to the commercial greatness of the country at the time. Nice visit.
This Exchange Palace was built in the mid-19th century in an edifying neoclassical style to host the meetings of Porto's first trade association. It was built to impress at the time of the World Expos. A beautiful and opulent curiosity is the Arab lounge, a huge room decorated with exotic wood panelling and stucco from the Portuguese Moorish style colonies. The restaurant room, housed under a huge glass roof, features amusing badges of the countries trading with Portugal at the time.
