The museum houses a number of Porto's old tramway cars, as well as other transport-related objects. Once a year, at the beginning of May, the vehicles leave the museum to parade through the streets of Porto. This is an interesting visit for old-time transport enthusiasts, but will also appeal to younger visitors who will discover the means of locomotion used by their forebears. It's fun, well laid-out and well explained. And the staff are all smiles and helpful. An original museum that will transport you to another part of Porto's history.
