CASA DA IMAGEM
A museum whose aim is to show the impact of photographs on society and to propose an educational reading of the images.
Concerned with the problems linked to the relationship between humans and technology, this museum aims to show the impact of photographs on society and proposes an educational reading of the images during various workshops. The permanent exhibition allows visitors to discover archives from the second half of the 20th century: photos from the north of Portugal, mostly film negatives (500,000!); a collection of cameras and developing equipment from the period (photo laboratory). A must-see in the history of photography.
