The refuge of Pombie is ideally located at the foot of the south-east side of the peak of the Midi d'Ossau, imposing walls, high place of climbing in the Pyrenees. You can achieve this in two ways: either from Anéou for a walk of 1 h 30 or from the Caillou Stone for 2 h 30. This refuge is kept from 1 June to 1 October. These relatively easy walks allow to climb at 2 032 m above sea level with a view of the Pic peak of Ossau. They will make you cross many pastoral plains in which you can see mountain dwellers (bétail, isards, marmots…). From the refuge you can make numerous walks, including those from the peak of the Midi of Ossau, from the peak of Peyreget to 2 487 m and the ascent of the peak of Ossau.
