Travel agencies offering excursions to the Enchanted Valley and nearby walks and horseback rides
Most travel agencies offer the visit of the Valle Encantado ("the enchanted valley") during the excursions of the Circuito Grande and the Route of the Seven Lakes. It is a valley located 62 km northeast of San Carlos de Bariloche, bathed by the Limay river (where fishing is splendid and will delight all the amateurs). Of volcanic origin, the strange and thousand-year-old rock formations, eroded by the powerful Patagonian winds, evoke castles, lions, snails, trains and even the finger of God (yes, always more!)... The cypress and poplar forests add to the bucolic and wild charm of the place, the landscapes are grandiose and colourful... a real invitation to relaxation and contemplation. On the spot, a tourist structure is at the disposal of travellers, in a delightful setting: it consists of bungalows for three to four people, rustic, but really comfortable and warm (we hung on!), all built in stone and volcanic rock. The restaurant room is nice, you can rest there while eating a bite to eat. There are also plenty of walks and rides in the surrounding area, on foot or on horseback. For animal lovers: there are great opportunities to see condors and herds of guanacos; one can also contemplate rock paintings, natural prehistoric caves, bird watching, kayaking or fishing quietly from the pontoon. A bucolic outing
