STADTMAUER - ENCLOSURE WALLS
Pleasant but short city walls in Ulm for visitors to stroll around.
A great way to stroll and discover the city of Ulm, a walk along the city walls is both instructive and bucolic. On the banks of the Danube, ancient metal rings tell you that the water level has not always been the same, as they were once used to moor ships. The wall was erected in 1480 and ran along the course of the Danube. Today, there are almost no towers left, as Napoleon ordered its destruction, keeping the lower part of the walls from flooding.
