CASTAGNO MUSEUM
Charming chestnut museum located in the medieval village of Colognora
This charming chestnut museum was created thanks to the will of two cousins who were passionate about this fruit, without which the Garfagnana today would probably no longer be possible, having allowed the local people to eat and heat themselves in times of crisis. Located in the medieval village of Colognora, the museum is divided into three sections and, in addition to its explanations on the collection, drying and processing of chestnut fruit, includes incredible instruments recovered from the farmers of the hinterland of Lucca.
