The Briouze marsh is the largest wetland in the Orne department
The largest wetland in the Orne department, the Grand Hazé marsh is located in Briouze, and is one of the department's richest natural areas. A long walk on the water takes you deep into nature, giving you the chance to see rare species. Among the 15,000 species present (including flora and fauna), you'll see grasshoppers, frogs, egrets and migrating species such as storks and ospreys. In spring, the awakening of the flora is a spectacle not to be missed.
