ASSOCIATION MUTHEMBO ARTS / SCHOOL OF ARTISTS

He is a local artist, Savior Mulwana, who is at the origin of this association and school of sculpture, in a city where there are certainly not many leisure opportunities for young people. The visit of this "school" is certainly worth the sentence… Even if it is a workshop on the first floor of a building in construction than a training institute as such. But seeing these young people, including children, concentrated on their creation while being crammed into a few square metres on the concrete floor, is pretty touching. They will be happy to show you the different works exhibited. Even though it is often naive art, quite massive and representative of scenes of everyday life or religious symbols. Everything is a question of appreciation, and the heart is for sure. The social dimension of the project focuses on the rest and possible aesthetic considerations. These works are found in a series of establishments in town and churches that place orders for a few virgins or chalices.
