Mr. Khamphanh, who speaks English, will inform you about the excursions in the area. They usually last from 1 to 3 days (4-5 days are also possible). You will have the opportunity to discover by boat the Nam Ou, a wild river flowing in the north of the country; to see the surroundings in 360° from the top of Mount Phu Fa, in Phongsaly; to see a tea plantation dating back more than 400 years, in Ban Komaen (18 km from Phongsaly) or to visit a village producing Lao Lao. Also worth exploring: Boun Neua, Muang Khua and Bountai.
