In winter, skiing takes over from hiking in the Ala Archa Gorge, and enthusiasts can enjoy the resorts of Kashka Suu and nearby Zil Suulu-Tor. The ski areas are not very extensive, but are still quite adequate for a day outing. Equipment rental is available on site. As far as logistics are concerned, the best option is to use a local agency to organize your trip and avoid long journeys.
