LA CABANE DE RAZTEK

At 3,100 m, the "Raztek stop" is the usual base camp from which some 30 routes of varying technical levels leave for the summits of the Ak-Saï ranges, culminating in Peak Korona, at 4,860 m, and Peak Semionov, at 4,875 m (allow two days for an ascent). One-day treks are also available at the foot of the Ak-Saï glacier, with picnics by a waterfall (the most accessible route). The best season for expeditions is from May to September. Horseback riding is also available.
