5 km southwest of Varese, here is an address that should not be missed if you have a vehicle. Not far from the lake, this beautiful 1928 th century building has been in operation since, when Annetta (the grandmother) served local cuisine for passers-by. Since then, the service, the frame and the table have been refined thanks to the good care of the family, without losing the taste of authentic flavours. A romantic and charming setting to taste regional specialities, meticulously revisited.

Location elegante e curata a due passi dal lago, già dall’ingresso si ha subito la piacevole sensazione di pace e tranquillità che si respirerà all’interno. Il personale è molto gentile, disponibile e professionale. La qualità del cibo è superba! Complimenti davvero allo chef, in tavola arriva estro, amore per la materia prima e maestria. I piatti sono fantastici, un’esplosione di gusto. Ho letto pareri negativi sulle quantità, ma io sono completato in disaccordo: le quantità sono perfette, saziano e così i prezzi. Consoni con lo standard elevato del ristorante, nulla da dire. Alla fine della cena, ci hanno portato un dolce cadeau: tre degustazioni di piccola pasticceria. Un pensiero molto gradito . Cibo nel complesso di discreta qualità e fattura , sufficiente il servizio. Porzioni esageratamente ristrette: nel piatto 5 ravioli . Prezzi esagerati tenuto conto di quanto offerto. Ambiente bello anche esternamente.

La qualità del cibo è alta , e su questo non ci sono dubbi, ma le porzioni sono troppo scarse per un prezzo a dir poco esagerato ed ingiustificato ( un primo 22 euro). Per quanto non si richieda una porzione da trattoria , non qualificando questo ristorante come tale, le quantità sono quasi ridicole, direi vicine alla presa in giro.
Non potendo più ordinare antipasto o secondo perché la cucina si apprestava a chiudere, ho optato soltanto per il primo; magari qui , furbamente, avrei aggiunto una forchettata in più.
Assolutamente non soddisfatta ho chiesto il dolce.
I dolci sono prezzati sui 12 euro, e anche lì, mi duole dire che non trovo alcun elemento che possa giustificare questa esagerazione.
Non ci ritornerei, soprattutto perché dopo questa “cena”, ho dovuto ordinare a domicilio per saziarmi.
