You leave the centre of Varese and the car is recommended to discover the Hosteria Da Bruno. Here, in the kitchen, it is a passion inherited from the grandfather, but a personal success all deserved. Bruno at the stove of this charming bistro in the village of Azzate, slightly set back from the lake, offers a tasty regional cuisine based on high quality products. The atmosphere is authentic with a fireplace, straw chairs and family photos on the walls and, what's more, you are always welcome, which makes the place even more welcoming.

Location inaspettata, si trova al seminterrato del locale. Ci accoglie un bel camino acceso e scoppiettante che spirgiona un bel calore. Come entrée optiamo per i moscardini alla luciana, molto saporiti, quasi un po' troppo salaci, e una battuta di fassona: fresca e con buona cipolla d'accompagnamento. A seguire un risotto allo zafferano con animelle e marsala: riso buono e cotto a puntino, per il mio palato non avrei optato per l'animella ma avrei scelto altro, il marsala accompagna bene l'insieme. Per concludere due bei dolci: una sacher, che non delude mai e sazia il giusto e un cannolo scomposto, anch'esso buono. Nel complesso soddisfatti.
