From Shanghai, take 40 minutes (39,50 RMB/trip) and trains every 30 minutes. To reach Hangzhou from Suzhou, you will be forced to stay in Shanghai (111 RMB/trip).
Arriving in Suzhou, you can easily get back tickets for the same day (as long as you do the usual queue). The guichets occupy the right-hand building when facing the station. It is recommended that you take your return ticket when you arrive, save time, or take a return/return directly.
