MASTER NET MASTER'S GARDEN
In 1174, Shi Zhengzhi, former Vice-Minister of Defence at the Southern Song Court, made this garden. In the th century, he was redesigned by Song Zongyuan, an official of the Qian long court in Qian. He attributed the metaphorical title of "fisherman" and baptized his garden "garden of the Master of Nets". This one, Suzhou's smallest garden (0,5 hectare) is the most famous throughout China and the world… It consists of three distinct parts: the residential area in the east, the central water plan surrounded by kiosks and pavilions, finally the garden garden in the western part. The Accumulated Benevolence Hall (Jishan Tang) hosted major receptions.
The garden is a UNESCO World Heritage SITE.
