ARLINGTON HOUSE, THE ROBERT E. LEE MEMORIAL
Go there and contact
It was in this ancient Greek-style plantation built in 1803 on the banks of the Potomac that was built by the Confederate General Robert E. Lee and his family before the War of Secession. During the war, planting is requisitioned by the North to establish Arlington's national cemetery and thus prevent Lee from returning home. Today, it is a memorial to the military strategist that led the troops from the south to the Appomattox campaign, at the end of which he signed the surrender of his camp, and we can visit the interiors of the imposing building building, the garden, and the slave buildings.
