MARENGO MUSEUM
First museum in Europe entirely dedicated to a historical event
A museum of which Napoleon could have been proud. On June 14, 1800, at Spinetta Marengo, the emperor won one of the most glorious battles of his career in his Italian campaign. The French became the masters of Northern Italy and annexed Piedmont. This event will be very important for the construction of the Italian unity. The Marengo Museum is the first museum in Europe to be entirely dedicated to a historical event. The access is through a pyramid (2005) that recalls the French victory in 1805.
