SALE D'ARTE
The centerpiece of the municipal collection, preserving some beautiful works of art
The town's collections include some fine works of art. The centerpiece of the collection is Le Stanze di Artù, a cycle of fifteen large 14th-century frescoes dedicated to the story of King Arthur and his knights, from the Trotti palace in Frugarolo. They were commissioned by Andreino Trotti to celebrate his victory over French troops. Although badly damaged, they offer an interesting insight into the chivalric life of the period. Some fine vedute of the town, painted in the 19th century by Giovanni Miraglia.
