PALAZZO MAZZETTI
Municipal art gallery with a collection of prestigious paintings and objects
The pride of the city, the Palazzo Mazzetti is a magnificent example of Baroque architecture, completely renovated between 2003 and 2011. The sumptuous interiors, built between 1684 and 1730, were subsequently supervised (in 1751 and 1752) by the great architect Benedetto Alfieri. Home to the Pinacoteca Municipale since 1939, it houses a collection of prestigious paintings and objects. Particularly noteworthy are the fascinating wooden micro-sculptures by Giuseppe Bonzanigo (1745-1820) and Giacomo Grosso's painting La Femme (1895).
