THE STORK PARK
Parc à Cigognes, a center for the reintroduction of this species in collaboration with the regional bird banding center.
Cernay, a stopover town for this emblematic bird, is nicknamed the city of storks. It is also one of the first centers for the reintroduction of this species, in collaboration with the regional bird ringing center. There are currently around fifty pairs, twenty of which are sedentary. Every year, there are around thirty births. The storks roam freely around the city, usually visiting the park for meals. The park contributes to the protection of this bird. In summer, guided group tours are organized on request.
