Residence of the Counts of Tyrol, this castle bequeathed its name to the entire region. The tour retraces the construction of this imposing, massive edifice in the 11thcentury , on a site that revealed prehistoric remains, as well as the remains of three successive churches between the 6thand 10thcenturies .
