CHIESA SAN GIOVANNI BATTISTA
A beautiful church in a pleasant setting in the center of Dobbiaco.
This pretty little church in the center of Dobbiaco is a must-see, with its pale green walls and dark green double-bulb bell tower. It was erected in the 19th century, thirty years after the church, which was built by the Tyrolean Rudolf Schraffl in 1774, in an Austrian baroque style that sublimates the postcard landscape among the mountains. Nothing remains of the original church built in the 9th century by a Benedictine monk from San Candido.
