This 1930s-style café-confiserie is a must-see, and is listed as a historic site in Italy. Since 1923, its small rum chocolates - cuneesi al rhum - have been one of Piedmont's most popular sweets. Today, cuneesi are available in other flavors (hazelnut, chestnut...). Hemingway stocked up here in 1954, and Mario Monicelli shot a scene from his film I Compagni with Marcello Mastroianni and Annie Girardot in 1963. A mythical place, run by the same family for three generations.
