GEISER GRAND HOTEL
Built in 1889 at the time of the Gold Rush, the Geiser Grand is a masterpiece of architecture. At the time, it was considered the most beautiful hotel between Seattle and Salt Lake City offering elegance, luxury and opulence to its clients. For proof, the Geiser Grand was one of the first hotels in Oregon to have electricity and have a lift. After the closure of the gold mines, the city's economy was in freefall. The hotel closed in 1968 and was abandoned for years. In 1993, a complete renovation of the facility was undertaken until 1998 and cost the bagatelle of $ 7 million. The result is absolutely breathtaking! Today the hotel has 30 completely magnificent rooms, combining modernity with flat screen TV, DVD player, wifi access, and history (high ceilings, time windows, and crystal chandeliers). Restaurants, parking. Guided tours of the hotel. Gym, parking.
