This inn was cute as it reminded me of a little cottage. It is located right across the ocean. The setup was very similar to the other inn we stayed at when we were at Pismo Beach as they were part of the same hotel group. This inn does need a little bit of an update. The lamp handle on the desk was broken and couldn’t turn on. But they were able to replace it with a new one. There is a small fridge and microwave inside. The water in the tub took a long while to drain. I think the tub and the pocket door needs an update. Otherwise everything else was okay.

Parking was right in front of our room and there were some tables and a fire pit in the middle of the property. There is only one person at the front desk and they usually take a lunch break.

If you walk right across the street, there is a boardwalk where you can walk along the ocean. Great location! Cell phone Reception is horrible there.

Large, clean and comfortable room with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean right across the street. The entire property was immaculate. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful place to stay. Steps to the wooden walkway along the beach. We chose to eat in town as the close by places were very busy or booked.

My wife and I have been coming to Cambria regularly for several years now. First time staying at Fogcatcher Inn impressed me enough to make it my new go-to. Nicole in the office did a great job managing our stay. She is super polite, efficient, and kind. Great welcome and made herself available for our questions and needs. Everything felt perfect, just as the weather was in mid-March. The heated pool was a game changer. I would recommend this place year round as they also have a jacuzzi. Our room had a fireplace that created the perfect cozy warmth to finish off the evening.

Really nice room with fireplaces. Across street I'm coming about Stone Beach. Walked my dog morning and night. Pet friendly hotel has coffee maker, refrigerator, big screen TV, two king size beds, a great tub and shower bathroom, hot tub and pool which I did not use. Peaceful. No noise and right across the street from the beach.

No heating in our room, dead spot for internet…for those reasons not returning here. Otherwise the room is fine. Bed was fine. If you don’t care about heating and good WiFi service, this is a good value. We may not stay the extra night. We may check out early. I’m writing this review on 2/23/24 for our room.

My partner took me to this hotel for my bday. They had a flood in our actual room which was not obstructed by a parking lot. It was also about 50 yards closer to the ocean than the room they gave us. The room they gave us was about $50 cheaper. We discussed with the hotel and they gave us a $50 discount. Later on they charged back this discount, and despite my partner trying to reach the manager they never responded or made good. Yes it’s $50, but it’s principle. I didn’t really enjoy the bed or the experience due to the extra drama and confusion on my bday. The manager of this place is an absolute loser. Hope getting this review was worth the extra $50.

fallen on hard times. Room was dingy, cobwebs and dirt in the windowsills, cheapo outdoor blinds on interior windows. peeling paint, furnishings creaky and worn and just substandard. So sad, this used to be a great place.

This is a nice older motel. Well kept, nice rooms and a hot tub.

We loved our stay at the Fogcatcher Inn! Our room looked out at the Pacific Ocean, and it was so beautiful! It was clean, quiet and very comfortable! We enjoyed two nights that were relaxing and very refreshing. We can't wait to stay again!

Perfect location, on Moonstone Beach. Fire pit was nice for sitting and watching the sunset! Room was fine, clean but pretty outdated. Multiple lights were burnt out upon arrival and our requests for replacements were ignored- they were never changed in 4 days. Employees obviously hated their jobs, were not at all friendly or helpful. Beds were lumpy and needed replacing.

My boyfriend and I decided to take our roommate who had never been to Cambria over there, and we stayed at Fog Catcher. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable! We were all very satisfied with our room and it was a great experience. I highly recommend staying here~

The location and the charm is this Inn was wonderful. However, there was NO heater, it was 41°outside! Thank Heavens they had a gas fireplace! We had to run it all night just to keep the area around the bed warm. The rest of the room and bathroom and living area was freezing!

One of many motels on the strip close to the Moonstone beach. It has a pool and nice spa, standard room. We stayed there in the Thanksgiving week and they had a construction ongoing for almost every day. Reception conveniently didn't bother to let us know. We had workers passing by our room and limiting our privacy. Management didn't care, refused to move us to another room. Very bad value. Wouldn't stay here again, guests aren't a priority for them.
