The Moldovan capital has many bookstores (such as Librarius or Pro Noi), but the bookshop in the Centre, also called Cartier bookshop, is one of the best known. There you can find novels, history books, art books... There is foreign literature in Romanian and some books in foreign languages. Book launches are organized there with local authors. Literary evenings and events are frequently organized. Students, curious minds, lovers of literature, poets and writers can be found here.
