This theatre, whose name refers to a famous poem by Mihai Eminescu, was founded in 1960 in Soviet times. The actors of the theatre present classical and modern plays by world-famous authors, as well as new works by Moldovan and foreign playwrights. The programme is frequently renewed and offers numerous performances. Plays and shows by Moldovan, Romanian and foreign - especially French - playwrights are also programmed for children. The shows are in Romanian.
