FESTIVAL DU VIN

For two days, the streets of the capital are filled with wine producers and entertainment, creating a very festive atmosphere. Since its creation in 2002, this festival has been very popular and brings together many people: Moldovans, tourists, wine lovers... Wine tastings are organized around the stands of the great Moldovan wine estates or winemakers from all over the country. Wine waiters will introduce neophytes to the subtleties of the products of the vine. About sixty winegrowers are present! Red, white, rosé or sparkling wines, there is something for everyone. Songs, concerts and dances in traditional costumes, such as the hora, enliven this event which marks one of the highlights of the year.

Wine tastings are also held in the capital's wine bars with the advice of oenologists. It is possible to buy wine on the spot or from the stands. You can visit artistic and cultural exhibitions with themes related to wine and its place in Moldovan history. It is a good opportunity to discover wine, gastronomy and Moldovan culture in a warm atmosphere and while walking through the pleasant streets of Chișinău. The day is also celebrated outside the capital and throughout the country. Moldovan winemakers also organize their own festivities on their estates with wine tastings and cellar tours, accompanied by exhibitions and concerts. Wine lovers will be particularly enchanted by these celebrations.
