This complex is dedicated to the soldiers who died in the 1979-1989 war in Afghanistan and was inaugurated on 20 May 2007. You can see the statue of a grieving mother. Behind it stretches the long basin of a fountain leading to a monument consisting of four arched pillars supporting a bronze crown of thorns and a large cross. Underneath is a granite basin in the shape of a black tulip. The fountain cascades down a long driveway and creates an unobstructed view.

Du côté de Strada Moskowa, c'est une des rares esplanades bien entretenues, dommage qu'un récent complexe immobilier gâche la vue sur le parc forestier proche. les vendeurs ambulants y propose de bon café, mais un peu cher pour le pays (25 lei).
