COVOARE UNGHENI

It is the largest industrial carpet factory in Moldova, founded in 1980. After its privatization in 1998 its activity developed and today its carpets are exported to many European countries, Japan and the United States. The workshops have a small museum presenting samples of carpets produced during its existence. The factory's catalogue is very wide and offers classic carpets of traditional or oriental style, modern carpets of different textures and perfect to decorate a living room or office with a contemporary design. 7,500 different carpet patterns are available and the pieces are of high quality. 5 million square meters are woven there every year and 2,400,000 meters are worked by hand. Promotions and special offers are often offered in store or on the factory's website. The carpet factory has several international certifications and its production is so renowned that it can now be purchased through major online shopping platforms. The Moldovan press reported that Ungheni carpets were very popular abroad, especially with interior designers such as Jen Stanbrook and Veronica Delgado. At the Chișinău festival, the Ungheni carpet factory distinguished itself with a stand where it exhibited some of its creations.
