CASA BUNICII (GRANDMOTHER'S MUSEUM)
The idea of this museum is unusual, we owe it to the no less astonishing Nina Ceban known to everyone in her village. She wanted to pay homage to her mother Natalia, a war widow with four children. It is a typical Moldavian country house with an entrance and three rooms, which aims to restore the traditional values of the crafts of the elders such as spinning wool, weaving, utensil making.
On the spot there is a perfect mix of a museum of traditions and presentation of objects, it is in perfect harmony with the development of rural tourism. The traditional Moldavian interior is restored and the bright colours of the carpets make the place charming. The traditional style house is surrounded by a pleasant garden and trees.
Nina is a Romanian language teacher, but also coaches students to introduce them to these lost skills. In this way the transmission of ancestral knowledge is perpetuated. Definitely, this place full of authenticity and Nina deserve a visit. You are warmly welcomed, you can also enjoy a good meal (traditional cuisine with fresh local and organic products), accompanied by a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, and why not stay there at night? Nina goes out of her way to make her culture known, with sensitivity and passion. It is necessary to call and warn in advance. It's a unique experience that allows you to immerse yourself in Moldavian rural traditions and way of life.
