This company is located north of Lake Frumoasa, opposite the municipal hospital. Its name refers to the Danube River, which runs about 50 km south of Cahul (the Prut River is closer, 6 km away). The climate of the region favours wine-growing. This factory produces red and white wines from native and western grape varieties. It is possible to buy some on the spot but not to visit the cellars. Cahul has other wine factories and local shops offer some of the region's wine production.
