CHURCH CONTANTIN ŞI ELENA
It's a big, blue church, over 270 square meters. It is built according to a cross plan, on stone foundations, with brick walls and tin domes, and the first service was held in 1907. Its architecture is typical of the early 20th century. It is recognizable by its light ochre-coloured walls and its two bell towers (one of which is octagonal) with silver bulbs. At one time, its facades were blue and white. The entrance is surmounted by a metal canopy and a square tower bell tower on which rests a pointed bell tower topped by a bulb. Inside there are beautiful frescoes, numerous icons and a beautiful iconostasis. Among the valuable icons we can see that of the Tomb of Jesus Christ dated 1812 and coming from Borogeni, those of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ dated 1931, that of St Pantelimon dated 1914 and that of the Dormition of the Mother of God dated 1909. Unlike many other churches, this one continued to function in Soviet times. In 2014, its dome was close to collapse and renovations were undertaken thanks to the financial participation of the 400 inhabitants, businessmen and the local administration who managed to raise 2 million lei. A ceremony in 2017 celebrated the completion of the repair work. A small garden surrounds the church and the faithful meet there on the occasion of certain religious holidays such as Easter.
