TARACLIA SA
This wine company was founded in 1955, during the Soviet era. Its activities entered a new phase in 1995. This company is mainly specialized in red and dessert wines (which are rather sweet and sweet). The continental climate of the region, influenced by the Black Sea, and its black soil with soils made of clay and sand provide a favourable environment for viticulture. Its vineyards cover 180 ha and include the following grape varieties: cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc. Red grapes represent 70% of the vineyard. Its production reaches 5,000 hl per year and is characterized by excellent small table wines that are present in international fairs and have won prizes: gold medal at the 1993 Vinexpo in Blaye-Bourg, gold medal at the Bucharest International Wine Fair in 2015, gold medal in 2018 at the Dunajska Streda competition in Slovakia, bronze medal in 2019 at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in Great Britain. In total the estate has received more than 50 awards. The estate also boasts a wine collection of 10,000 bottles with vintages ranging from 1960 to the 2000s. The oldest bottle dates from 1906.
