BOURTZI

The point of the landing stage that closes the northern end of the harbor is home to the large café-bar of Bourtzi, a must-see in the Chora. Open all day long for coffee and light food, not necessarily exciting, the Chiotes come here especially in the evening to have a drink, with a view on the lights of the city. The ballet of ferries arriving and leaving the port is impressive from the large terrace: the sensation of floating is striking and makes you want to go elsewhere. On the horizon, the moonrises are splendid.
