The island is very well connected to the capital with at least one flight per day (40 minutes) operated by Olympic Air or Sky Express. In season, there are also direct connections to Thessaloniki. But it is also an international airport that welcomes in summer an (really) impressive number of flights and direct charters from Great Britain, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Scandinavia... Although it is close to the capital, no municipal shuttles are planned. While some hikers walk the 4 km, an efficient taxi service is available.
