A walk to the Bourtzi peninsula - a small outcrop connected to the port by a narrow strip of land - is a must. You will see some remains of a Venetian citadel built in the 13th century. It is also where you will find an interesting small museum of maritime and cultural traditions. Located in a former primary school, it also has an open-air theatre for summer performances and a pleasant café where you can take a break. In the evening, in summer, concerts and other outdoor shows are offered.
