CUCKOO'S DEN

Cuckoo's Den is one of Lahore's most popular restaurants. We eat delicious local specialities (tikka-style meats, masala, tandoori...). It is located next to Andaaz, in what was once the former prostitute district of Lahore. Its owner, Iqbal Hussain, is the son of one of them. He is now an artist-painter and his paintings are inspired by the unusual childhood he spent in this "red light district". His studio is on the ground floor, while the restaurant is on the first floor, on a terrace overlooking the old town and the sumptuous Badshahi Mosque.
