The Chaukhandi cemetery houses magnificent tombs of members of the Jokhio and Baluch tribes who occupied the region in the 17th and 18th centuries. The yellow sandstone tombs are all delicately carved in a style specific to the province of Sindh. Those of women are decorated with jewellery engravings and those of men with war symbols (shield, sword...). Some tombs are sheltered by a Hindu vaulted structure.
