NATIONAL MUSEUM OF PAKISTAN
The museum has eleven galleries that trace the history of this part of the Indian subcontinent, from prehistory to partition. Each room is dedicated to a historical period (Indus civilization, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic...). Beautiful collection of Buddha busts and statues and Hindu sculptures. The museum also exhibits a collection of pieces, the oldest of which date back to the 5th century BC. The statuette of the "priest king", discovered during the excavations of the Mohenjodaro site, is the pride of the museum. On special occasions (Pakistan Independence Day, Jinnah's birthday...), the museum organizes special exhibitions.
