In France, it is estimated that over 300,000 animals are abandoned every year. The voluntary abandonment of an animal is recognized as an offence punishable by 3 years' imprisonment and a €45,000 fine. The Colmar SPA is one of the few shelters in France that does not euthanize healthy animals. If you would like to help the Colmar SPA, you can of course adopt an animal, but you can also make donations or become a volunteer.
