Founded in 1958, the purpose of this association is to meet people who are going to suffer a laryngectomie before and after the intervention and to contact people who are infected and cured of cancer in the larynx; At the same time, it supports future or new practice by offering psychological and moral assistance in hospital or home visits, telephone conversations or volunteer-held hotlines. In the association, laryngectomisés patients will find some of the equipment necessary for their health and exchange with people who have experienced this type of test. It also broadcasts a number of specialized brochures and its members also intervene in nursing schools to prepare staff for treating laryngectomisées, but also in schools and high schools to raise students'awareness of smoking risks. Throughout the year, speaking groups are organized with language speech-makers to break the sense of isolation caused by the disease.
