Museum to discover Bartholdi's working methods
Set up in the superb residence where Auguste Bartholdi was born on 2 August 1834, this museum highlights the life and work of this major French sculptor of the 19th century. The scenography presents original models of Bartholdi's masterpieces (the Lion of Belfort, the Statue of Liberty...) and other sculptures, drawings, paintings and photographs. During the visit, we walk around in a superb reconstruction of the sculptor's apartment. For a guided tour, you can book a slot at the Bartholdi museum or refer to the tourist office of Colmar.

Museu casa de Auguste Bartholdi é muito interessante. Foi bom conhecer a história é obra deste artista que era desconhecido para mim e saber da relevância e abrangência da obra deste escultor. Está muito bem explicado o enquadramento histórico.

It was an interesting and quiet museum to learn about the life of the sculptor/the story behind the statue of liberty. Wish the museum was more instructive with the order of each rooms and exhibition though.

This place was very awesome. This man is the man that made the Statue of Liberty and many other carbings through out Europe.
