Museum showing Bartholdi's working methods

Housed in the superb residence where Auguste Bartholdi was born on August 2, 1834, this museum highlights the life and work of this major French sculptor of the 19th century. The scenography features original models of his masterpieces: the Lion of Belfort, the Statue of Liberty... and other sculptures, drawings, paintings and photographs. The tour also includes a superb reconstruction of the sculptor's apartment. To book a guided tour, contact the Bartholdi Museum or the Colmar Tourist Office.

le musée est en réalité la maison natale de Bartholdi.

cette maison, abrite, sur trois niveaux le nouveau musée consacré à cet artiste du 19eme siècle, créateur, notamment de la Statue de la Liberté et du Lion de Belfort.

ce lieu est emprunt de la vie de l'artiste et nous explique beaucoup sur sa vie...
