Carrousel 1900, presenting hand-painted frescoes, reproductions of 1900 posters and paintings describing the life of Colmar
In the heart of the Champ de Mars, discover this 1900 carousel, the largest of its kind in France. It pays homage to Colmar, with paintings depicting the city's neighborhoods: Little Venice, Place Rapp and Maison Pfister. It also has a gallery to protect children in all weathers. Planes, cars, horses - each one has its own means of locomotion, and it's off to a great time. Les Délices du carrousel, the kiosk next to the carousel, offers drinks and sweet treats for young and old alike.

I told them it’s a backpack, and that I have a backpack bag it can go in, but they refused to let me be inside with it folded down. I instead had to leave it outside in the rain.
We returned again the next evening to use our last remaining tickets and as we approached, 10 minutes before closing, they shut the lights off and shut down for the evening. My 3 year old daughter was very upset as we leave on the train in the morning.
It’s a beautiful carousel, but staffed poorly.
