The Caribbean in Palo Alto! On the menu, coconut milk shrimp, hot curried goat cheese, crab cakes and papaya salmon.

At Coconuts in Palo Alto, let your taste buds take you to the Caribbean. On the menu: coconut milk shrimp, hot curried goat's cheese and papaya salmon prepared by chef Robert Simpson, as well as the crabcakes that are a hit with regulars. All generously washed down with rums and beers directly imported from all the Caribbean islands (Jamaica, Cuba, etc.). Regular concerts include reggae, calypso, pan, rumba, salsa... Another good reason to drop in for a cocktail or dinner.

Try their jerk chicken, curried shrimp, and cocktails.

Awesome!!! We got the mix of tender braised oxtail and jerk chicken - dark meat and it was great! The oxtail was soft, flavorful and melt in your mouth and the chicken was well marinated and tangy while having a bit of smoky flavor. We enjoyed every bite!

Need more food like this in LA

the appetiser shrimp was a bit small but the sauce was pretty unique????????

The jerk chicken was flavourful and delicious! The rice ball could be a bit spicy but not to me which is good! The oxtail is similar to “rawon” in Indonesia cuisine! And the fried banana is also tasty????

The bbq pork ribs was boneless and portion was generous topped with coleslaw which was refreshing

They have their recognition from some media as attached too!

From memory it’s not too expensive and will definitely come back if i’m in the palo alto area

I simply enjoyed this place. First time eating Jamaican oxtails. They were full of flavor and full of gravy just like I like it. It's a small place and the waiter took good care of us. I would go here again
