I have stayed at Rosewood Sand Hill on multiple occasions. Mostly for work but also for special occasions. Most recently I attended an event and was blown away to the attention to detail from the warm welcome I received in the lobby to the meticulous culinary offerings. Looking forward to returning soon! We have had wonderful experiences holding our meetings at Madera Restaurant! Dawn Bancroft, the Private Dining Coordinator always provides first-class service making our time memorable and easy from a planning perspective. Filoli Gardens is lucky to have such a great hotel partner nearby!

I recently attended an event here and was blown away. From the moment I set foot on property the staff was there to greet me, direct me, and kindly make sure I was on my way. The grounds are immaculate. The event itself was gorgeous, well staffed, fabulous drinks and the food was exceptional. I had the chance to visit the spa as well and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The facilities are updated, smell amazing, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I received an express facial from Deborah and she was knowledgeable, friendly, warm, and made my experience a great one. I would certainly come back and recommend it to others. The location is very good, quiet and serene. Perfect for a little getaway or a wedding or event.

We had a business meeting in a private dining space and it couldn't have gone better. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Dawn was super responsive and accommodating with all requests. Everyone who worked there was friendly and gave attentive but nonintrusive service.

I had a quick overnight to celebrate my mom's birthday, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! The room was lovely, the location was beautiful, and I LOVED the flower arrangements. But the real highlight was our incredible dinner at the restaurant! Not only was the food delicious, the service was remarkable- a truly delightful experience!

This is an incredible venue for private business events and meetings. There is an option to reserve the Lemon or Orange room for private dining for business meals. The food and ambiance are superb. Dawn, who works at Rosewood, is absolutely phenomenal — she has such a professional and world-class approach to collaborating! Thank you, Rosewood team!

Madera is not only a lovely restaurant with great service and delicious food but it is located in a beautiful hotel. It's the perfect place for hosting an important lunch meeting.

Tucked away, yet central. Stayed two nights last week, loved the room layout, ❤️deep soaking tubs, thoughtful housekeeping service touches - a most relaxing work trip. It rained the whole time and that is the last detail that comes to mind.

I can’t speak to the hotel in this review—but my husband and I celebrated his birthday at the fabulous, on-site restaurant, Madera. It was such a treat! Nancy, our server, has been with the company for years and treated us like royalty.
Despite the rainy weather outside, the views inside were stunning—there isn’t a bad table in the big, open space. The woodsy vibe of the restaurant is very intimate and romantic. We ordered the oysters, carrot humus, burrata, and bread for appetizers. The oysters were so fresh and light! My husband raved about the zataar seasoning on the humus and I couldn’t get enough of the burrata with pomegranate seeds. We decided to order the (whole!) duck, with sides of Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, and the potatoes with chive creme fraiche. The duck literally melted in our mouths. Such great flavor! It was absolutely massive and could have easily been split with 2 or more people. The little potatoes with creme fraiche were delicious and a perfect side for the duck. For dessert we ordered the cruller donut with ice cream—light and fluffy, sweet treat.
I cannot speak highly enough about our experience at Madera! The ambiance, the service, the food… made for a perfect birthday celebration date night. We will absolutely be back!

Had an incredible stay at this Rosewood property. The service was exceptional from the second I arrived to the end. The hotel's amenities surpassed all expectations with a stunning pool, spa and fitness center. Dining in the hotel was fantastic. The culinary creations had incredible flavours, expertly crafted with the finest ingredients. The rooms are comfortable, chic and have wonderful views. Perfect for a relaxing, luxurious and unforgettable getaway.

Another lovely day at the Rosewood Sand Hill, Spa in the morning, Lunch in Madera and an afternoon in the lounge. Just first class service across the board. A real gem in the Bay Area.
