Oldest mission of the 21 missions in California with 3 naves and museum used as a set for the movie Cold Sweat
One of four missions established in June 1797 by the priest Fr. Fermín de Lausen, president of the California missions. It is also the fifteenth of California's 21 missions. It was the setting for Alfred Hitchcock's filmVertigo, no doubt for its mysterious, timeless feel. The interior of the church, with its three naves, is well worth a visit! There's also a small museum at the side of the church.
